Dashin' Hounds was established in Carrickfergus in 1996. In its first year it won, its owner Christina Jones the Shell Livewire Young Business Person of the Year (NE).

Dashin' Hounds Belfast branch was opened in 1999 in Ballyhackamore and moved to its current address in Dundonald in 2003.

In 2004 Dashin' Hounds in Carrickfergus was sold so that Christina could concentrate on the Belfast salon as well as starting a training school for those who wished to take up grooming as profession.

Christina has had 10 years experience. She has attained a City & Guilds 7750 in dog grooming, attended numerous training seminars to hone her skills over the years and is currently studying for her Advanced Exams. She runs very successful dog grooming courses for people wishing to set up their own business and has bred and shown Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers.
