Light up the night in support of Marie Curie Nurses 

Join Walk Ten with your family and friends at the Stormont Estate in Belfast this summer and raise money to support Marie Curie. 

 

Take part in the celebrations - enjoy an evening 10k walk in the grounds of Stormont Estate. 

 

New for 2014: a new route, to include a first loop outside the Estate. Our post event entertainment will be focused on Prince of Wales Avenue, with Parliament Buildings as our backdrop. 

After completing the walk, settle down with your picnic and enjoy the festival-like atmosphere, including live music, the U105 road show, stunning performances by fire poi artists, and spectacular fireworks at 10pm. 

The fireworks coincide with the time many Marie Curie Nurses start their night shift, providing care to people with terminal illnesses and their families in their own homes. 

 

We’re asking each walker to aim to raise £60 which pays for three hours of care. 

 

With your help, Walk Ten at Stormont Estate will raise significant money to care for even more people with terminal illnesses and provide support for their families. Every additional £20 raised will provide another hour of care and £180 pays for a nurse’s full shift. 

 

People bringing dogs to Walk Ten are advised there have been known instances of Seasonal Canine Illness in clusters across the UK. It has generally been seen between August and November.
